N. Lamborn Street Asphalt Maintenance Scheduled Aug. 11–13 & 18 The City Streets team will close N. Lamborn St. from 11th Ave. to E. Broadway St. for asphalt maintenance on Aug. 11–13 & 18 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
S. Rodney Street Asphalt Patching – Aug. 6 The City Streets team will close S. Rodney St. from E. Broadway south to the end of the asphalt near Division St. for asphalt patching on Thursday, Aug. 6 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Knight St. Valley Gutter Project - July 16 to Aug. 5 The City Streets team will close a portion of Knight St. between Cleveland St. and Allison St. from July 16-Aug. 5 to replace the valley gutter and allow time for concrete curing.
Fuels Reduction Project Continues in Mt. Ascension Natural Park Contract crews will begin working in Unit #6 on the east face of Mt. Ascension tomorrow, July 24. Signs alerting trail users to the ongoing forestry operations have been posted on the 2006 Trail, Eddie West Trail, & Goin' EZ. Trail users are encouraged to avoid the area.
Multi-Location Mobile Chip Seal Project – July 21-24 The City Streets team will perform chip seal asphalt repair in several areas around town next Tuesday through Friday, July 21-24.
Multi-Location Asphalt Milling Project – July 13-17 The City Streets team will close portions of California St., N. Lamborn St., S. Rodney St., N. Roberts St. and N. Hannaford St. for milling and paving next week, July 13-17 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Crack Seal Repair on Colonial Drive - July 13-14 On July 13-14, the City Streets team will perform crack and seal asphalt repair on Colonial Dr. from the entrance to Shodair Children's hospital to the edge of the City limits, just beyond Deerfield Ln. The work being completed is a mobile operation. There will be traffic control devices on-site to notify motorists to be aware of work ahead.
Dust Control on Clark, Harrison, Curtis, Ming and Others – July 10 The City Streets team will close the dirt portions of Clark St., S. Harrison St., Curtis St., Ming Pl., Adams St., Howie St., Monroe Ave., Hayes Ave. and Gold Ave. on July 10 for dust control application.
Dust Control on Rodney, Sparta, Division, and Clancy – July 8 The City Streets team will close the dirt portions of Davis St., Rodney St., Sparta St., Division St. and Clancy St. on July 8 for dust control application.
Crack Seal in Auto Mall and Mountain View Meadows Area - July 6-10 The City Streets team will perform crack and seal asphalt repair along streets in the area of the auto mall off Hwy 12 and in the Mountain View Meadows neighborhood next week, July 6-10. There will be traffic control devices on-site to notify motorists to be aware of work ahead. The work itself is completed by a mobile crew.
8th Ave. Main Replacement The City of Helena has contracted with Northwest Landworks LLC to replace a water main along 8th Ave. between N. Hoback Street and Idaho Ave. Temporary water service may be required periodically for affected residents. This project is estimated to take two weeks to complete and will require the temporary closure of 8th Ave.
Lawrence Water & Sewer Main Replacement The City of Helena has contracted with Northwest Landworks LLC to replace a water main along Lawrence St. between Monroe and Park Ave. and a sewer line on Lawrence between Dearborn and Benton Ave. Temporary water service may be required periodically for affected residents.
West Main/Eureka to Hale Connector The project consists of replacing an existing water main betweenthe Eureka Well and the Hale water storage tank with a new 8”water main between the well and the storage tank. A separatededicated 12” water main between the storage tank and thedistribution system on West Main Street. An additional 12” watermain will also connect from West Main to Reeder’s Village.
Wastewater Treatment Plant - Primary Scum Pump Rebuild This proposed project will replace and existing failed pump station at the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Test Well Drilling This project will drill 9 test wells to determine geology and water capacity for potential public water supply wells.
Sewer Main Rehabilitation - 2019 Cured in Place Pipe This project consists of the rehabilitation and lining of approximately 11,583 lineal feet of existing clay and concrete sewer mains.
Intersection Realignment - Lawrence & Warren Streets This project addressed realignment of the intersection of Lawrence & Warren Streets to shorten the pedestrian crossing length across Lawrence Street.
Parks Improvement - Fire Tower The City completed rehabilitating the iconic Fire Tower that overlooks downtown Helena.
Parks Improvement - Memorial Park Playground The project will replace all of the playground equipment at Memorial Park.
