Scam Alert: We have recently learned of a scam involving residents receiving text messages from an entity claiming to be the City of Helena, stating that they have unpaid parking tickets and must pay immediately. In 2024, the City of Helena's Commission adopted the City's current Strategic Plan. Development of the Strategic Plan started with a retreat in December of 2023 that was led by the Local Government Center at Montana State University. The City's Strategic Plan includes defined values, goals, and strategies that will guide the Commission and City staff for several years. The document below captured all of the strategies that were discussed at the retreat. Since the retreat, the City has created a more comprehensive list of implementation strategies, which can be found by clicking each of the Strategic Goals at the bottom of this page.
