City to Host Open Lands Major Projects Open House

HELENA, Mont. — The City of Helena will host an open house event at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15 at the City-County Building, RM 426 and via Zoom (https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82900219404) to discuss recommended Open Lands major projects for 2026. City staff will present final proposed open lands major projects and accept public comment.

Interested parties may also review the projects, public comment to-date, and environemental analysis at https://beheardhelena.com/. Public comment can also be submitted on the Be Heard Helena project page, or by emailing parksandrec@helenamt.gov now through Feb. 2.

The recommended projects include:

  • Deford Trail Improvements
  • Oakes Street Park Trail Relocation
  • Nob Hill Park Trail System Improvements
  • North Benton Trail Improvements
