Lewis & Clark Metro Region Opioid Abatement Governance Committee

The Lewis & Clark Metro Region Opioid Abatement Governance Committee meets quarterly, or as needed, to review regional applications for funding and make recommendations to the Montana Opioid Abatement Trust ("MOAT") Advisory Committee for final review and approval. Opioid settlement funds are exclusively for opioid abatement projects/programs.

The committee includes an elected representative from the Helena City Commission, Lewis and Clark County Board of County Commissioners, and the City of East Helena’s governing body, as well as two appointed community members-- a community member that resides in the City of Helena appointed by City of Helena Commission, and a community member that resides in Lewis and Clark County appointed by Lewis and Clark County’s Board of County Commissioners.
