City of Helena Seeks Input on Downtown Parking
Published on November 07, 2025
HELENA, Mont. – City staff and the City of Helena Parking Advisory Committee (PAC) have launched an online survey to gather input on how the public utilizes downtown parking as they consider recommendations to the City Commission for system improvements and potential rate changes. The survey is live now at BeHeardHelena.com, and will remain open until Friday, Dec. 5.
Currently, paid parking is enforced in specific areas of downtown, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Holidays, weekends, and evenings after 5 p.m. are always free. Safety violations are enforced 24/7. These may include, but not limited to, parking in a yellow/no parking area and blocking traffic or sidewalks with a parked vehicle.
The results of this survey will be discussed at the PAC meeting on Thursday, Dec. 11.
