Scam Alert: We have recently learned of a scam involving residents receiving text messages from an entity claiming to be the City of Helena, stating that they have unpaid parking tickets and must pay immediately. The most popular trailhead for the Mount Ascension Trail System is the Beattie Street Trailhead. It is popular for hiking, running, and mountain biking. It also allows dogs to be off-leash 100 yards from the parking lot when under voice control. Amenities at the trailhead include pet waste bags, trash receptacles, and vault latrines.
