HELENA, Mont. — The City of Helena invites residents to stop by the Helena Parks & Recreation Master Plan booth at the Helena Farmers Market on Fuller Ave. on Saturday, July 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., to learn about the planning process and share ideas for the future of parks, recreation facilities, aquatics, and programs throughout the community. Project team members will be available to answer questions, discuss community priorities, and gather feedback that will help shape the Parks & Recreation Master Plan through 2035.
The City launched the master planning process earlier this year to develop a long-term vision for Helena's parks and recreation system. The plan will evaluate existing parks, sports and recreation facilities, and programs while identifying future investments and improvements needed to serve residents over the next decade.
Those unable to attend the Farmers Market event are encouraged to check out the Be Heard Helena project website to view project updates, engagement opportunities and take the public survey which is open through July 25.
General comments and questions about the project can be directed to parksmasterplan@helenamt.gov.
