HELENA, Mont. – The City of Helena is excited to host monthly listening sessions starting Thursday, April 23, to help create meaningful dialogue between residents, city staff, and the Commission on the issues that matter most to our community. Each monthly session will center on a featured topic of high relevance or impact. Staff will provide a brief, 10–15-minute presentation providing background information, status updates, and a future outlook, after which attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, share perspectives, and provide input. Relevant staff and members of the Commission will attend each session to listen, engage, and better understand resident priorities and perspectives. Dates, times and topics will vary month to month. The first session is titled “Sustainability in Action: How Our City Supports the Environment and Our Workforce,” and will be held at 5 p.m. at Lewis & Clark Library on Thursday, April 23. Staff from the Sustainability and Recycling program as well as Human Resources will be on hand.
To broaden participation, a dedicated feedback form on the City’s “Be Heard Helena” public engagement portal will be available for every session. Community members may submit questions, comments, and suggestions both before and after the event, ensuring input is captured even if attendance is not possible.
