Scam Alert: We have recently learned of a scam involving residents receiving text messages from an entity claiming to be the City of Helena, stating that they have unpaid parking tickets and must pay immediately. HELENA, Mont. – The Helena Fire Department will host a public ceremony on Friday (June 28) to celebrate its’ new Type 3 Wildland Fire Truck. The event will take place at Fire Station 1 (300 Neill Avenue) starting at 3 p.m. The ceremony is a common tradition among Fire Departments and is known as a push-in ceremony. It includes the washing of the vehicle before slowly rolling the truck backward into the station with members of the community symbolically pushing.
Attendees will have an opportunity to explore the engine at the start of the event.
