HELENA, Mont.— The City of Helena will host a virtual open house at 6 p.m. on April 14 to provide an overview and solicit public input on Phase II of the Rodney Street Project - a multi-phase and multi-year road reconstruction from Helena Avenue to Division Street. This is the first of three open houses for Phase II of the project. The Rodney Street Project (Phases I-III) includes reconstruction of the roadway within the right-of-way including the street, traffic signals, signage, sidewalks, boulevards, drainage and water and sewer utilities. Each phase of the project will go through conceptual and preliminary design with public input, final design, construction bidding, and construction. Improvements will incorporate current multi-modal and ADA standards.

Phase II of the Rodney Street Project focuses on 9th Avenue to Helena Avenue. The City conducted a public process for Phase I of the project, Broadway Avenue to 9th Avenue, in 2019 and construction is set for Spring/Summer 2021. The third and final phase will address reconstruction from Helena Avenue to Lyndale Avenue and Broadway to Division Street. Additional information on phasing of this project is available at  https://www.helenamt.gov/public-works-projects.

Information on subsequent Phase II meetings will be available on the City of Helena’s website, Facebook page, and sent to email and text message subscribers as meetings are schedule. To subscribe, interested parties can email RodneySt@kljeng.com or text RodneySt to 47177.
