Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, your concerns regarding serving on a jury are justified. Please know that our Court has and will continue to take affirmative steps to ensure your safety.
During this time jury trials will be held at the Helena Civic Center in order to maintain social distancing during all phases of the trial.
If you ask for an excusal from jury service due to you or a family member being in the “high risk” category in accordance to the CDC guidelines, you must complete the enclosed affidavit of hardship and return to court as soon as possible and I will evaluate your excusal request.
I understand the valid apprehensions of serving on a jury at this time, but we must maintain our justice system and its crucial role in the City of Helena.
