PLEASE READ IMPORTANT INFORMATION BELOW
REGARDING YOUR JURY SERVICE QUESTIONNAIRE
AND POTENTIAL JURY DUTY.

Due to  the COVID-19 pandemic, your concerns regarding serving on a jury are justified.  Please know that our Court has and will continue to take affirmative steps to ensure your safety.

Jury trials have resumed at the Court’s new location, 406 Fuller, the new courtroom allows for increased spacing between potential jurors and all the parties. Masks can still be worn if an individual is concerned.

If you ask for an excusal from jury service due to you or a family member being in the “high risk” category in accordance to the CDC guidelines, you must complete the enclosed affidavit of hardship and return to court as soon as possible and I will evaluate your excusal request.

I understand the valid apprehensions of serving on a jury at this time, but we must maintain our justice system and its crucial role in the City of Helena.

Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to having you serve on the incoming jury panel.  We hope to make this a pleasant, educational and rewarding experience for all called to serve.

Sincerely,

Anne Peterson
Municipal Court Judge
