ARPA Funds - RFP

Request for Proposals

ARPA Funds - Community Aid Grants

The application process is now closed. Thank you for your interest. Letters of Intent to Apply were received and presented to the City Commission at the Oct. 26 Administrative Meeting and reviewed/discussed over the course of several subsequent meetings. The City Commission selected their top projects of interest to move forward with a full application for funding, which were due Jan. 20. The Commission is in the process of considering those applications for funding.

The City of Helena Commission previously accepted letters of intent to apply for grant funds through the City’s Community Aid Grant program. This program is supported by general fund savings that came through reimbursement of lost revenue claimed for police and fire services through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). This program will provide one-time only funding for selected projects brought by area nonprofits that provide a positive impact on the residents of Helena and will be spent by Dec. 31, 2026. The goal of soliciting letters of intent to apply is to provide the Commission with an understanding of the level of interest in this program and what needs exist in the community. The letters gathered informed the application process and parameters set by the Commission for allocation.
