September 2010 USS Helena Visit

In September 2010, the City of Helena was honored to receive and welcome Commander Paul Dinius, Chief of Boat David DiPietro, Lieutenant Garry Ferguson and Machinists Mate First Class Ivan Reyes from the USS Helena.  It was the first official visit between the City and the USS Helena in well over ten years.  While in Helena these four crew members visited with city officials and community members at large, including the Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee, the Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) students at Carroll College, and the youth at the Helena Indian Alliance.  The City of Helena hopes to send a delegation to visit the USS Helena sometime in the spring/summer of 2011.
