City Subdivision Regulations Amendments
The City of Helena is currently updating its subdivision regulations contained in Title 12 of City Code. The majority of the proposed changes to the city subdivision regulations incorporate recent state mandated procedures for phasing a preliminary plat and final plat review. Other changes are proposed to clarify sections of the city regulations and address recent case law. It is anticipated these changes will provide more predictability for developers, promote a clearer process for reviewing a subdivision proposal, include more opportunities for public comments throughout the subdivision process, and insure timely installation of infrastructure.
The Helena/Lewis and Clark County Consolidated Planning Board has conducted a public hearing on the proposed changes and has made recommendations to the City Commission for approval of the changes. The City Commission will review the proposed changes at a time yet to be determined.
